Vaporizers

The purpose of the atmospheric vaporizer is to heat and vaporize the cryogenic liquids in order to be able to use them in their gaseous state.

The key factors for carefully choosing the adequate model are:

  • Flow rate
  • Pressure
  • External climatic conditions

With pressure and climatic conditions being equal, the same vaporizer model can supply different flow rates depending on the cryogenic liquid and its latent vaporization heat.

Pressure as well influences the latent vaporization heat and, as a result, the yield of the heat exchanger.

The presence of moisture worsens the yield of the heat exchanger while its positioning in ventilated areas improves its efficiency.

The profile of the finned tube of the ARY-LP atmospheric vaporizers is the result of in-depth thermal-fluid dynamics studies and although standard models have been defined, it is possible to design and size special vaporizers able to operate also in critical conditions.

The ARY-LP atmospheric vaporizer consists of a certain number of finned tubes in aluminium alloy connected to each other with or without manifolds, depending on the model and working conditions.

The inlet and outlet connections are with revolving flange and austenitic stainless steel nozzle to be welded to simplify installation. Upon request, the heat exchanger can be supplied with nozzle already machined and ready to be welded to the existing piping.

Different solutions in the geometry of the inlet and outlet connections do not alter the family provided they are made with the same materials, diameters and thicknesses.

ARY-LP vaporizers are designed, built and tested in compliance with European Directive 2014/68/UE (PED: “Pressure Equipment Directive”).
